::It was a good place to take a great picture. Since I have a Chinese boyfriend, he said that this place is like a rich royal family's house in ancient China. People who loves to experience the Chinese culture or take a great picture, I prefer you to visit this place. They had really beautiful flowers everywhere when I visited. They also had a person who will write your name in a white paper with some traditional Chinese characters ($15 without frame/$25 with frame) Moreover, they had cute orange fish in the pond. If you are student please bring your student ID, it will help (discount a bit).

::Favorite spot i visited in the city; the tour was great, he was very passionate, knowledgeable and kind. The tea in the cafe was authentic and tasty. Service was amazing and so helpful. A local teacher/musician started playing a "kokyū"; a neat stringed Japanese instrument. Calmness washed over me as I looked over the tranquil garden in this delightful environment I found myself in. I didn't want to leave ! Which showed; I stayed for a good while and she just kept the hot tea coming. Can't say enough good things about this place :D

::Located in downtown Portland, Lan Su is the most authentic Chinese garden ever built outside of mainland China. It is built by real Chinese artisans. A powerfully inspiring experience for the whole family in which you interact with the traditional landscape architecture, with the art of details in the interior and exterior structures and with the stories behind them. Very interesting, explanatory and Informative guided tours are available and strongly recommended to enjoy the philosophy of this place.

::Went here with a friend from out of town in January. The winter bloom is definitely worth seeing. Lotus flowers and Lily pads are better to view in the spring and summer months. The tea service is delicious and the selection is like none that I have seen. The men's restroom is under renovation currently but there is another set of restrooms outside of the tea house. The gift shop is reasonable and for a magnet collector had affordable and trendy magnets and pins.

::The relaxing atmosphere is very pleasant. The garden is very well constructed and maintained and the events they host are a nice bonus. This is one of those places that's emotionally rewarding to visit, from the sense of art and culture to the quiet joy of watching beautiful fish feed under your feet. I also enjoyed the tea and small meals available, and was able to dine while facing the garden. This is the perfect place to visit for a vacation from the energy demands of city life and "social media culture". I recommend leaving the cameras and phones behind and just enjoying the present moment in the time and physical space you're in while you're at the garden. It's also nice to visit with a friend/loved one who is happy to take things easy, keep the chit-chat to a minimum and relax with you.
