::This is my second lease on the property. Last year I gave a 5 star review when I lived in my two bedroom despite the non stop maintenance issues. At that time, the maintenance team was really on top of things so I could easily overlook the fact that the buildings are crumbling. The maintenance manager unfortunately had to leave and literally the day after Larry left the entire team fell apart. Now it takes months to get a work order done. No, I'm not exaggerating one bit. It is currently October and I've had broken blinds since February. I have had multiple work orders put in about the same thing until some time in the summer when I just gave up. A member of the maintenance team came to measure the blinds to order new ones in May after I called the office insisting someone come address the 3 month old work order. He said he would order them. TWO MONTHS LATER I saw him and he said he had to remeasure the blinds because he forgot. I then told him don't worry about it we are buying a house and getting out of this dump. The property is seriously overpriced for everything breaking non stop. My last apartment the kitchen appliances stopped working due to being wired incorreclty during the "renovation". This was the week before Thanksgiving when I was expecting company from out of town. They literally had to tear down my walls to fix the problem. Then during the colder months in Jan and Feb my power kept going out non stop due to overload on the box outside. The apartments are so old they don't keep hot or cold at all. So in the summer you have to blast the AC on 60 and it won't get any cooler inside than 75 at best. Same thing in the winter. Your bill will be sky high unless the weather is nice out. The list of broken goes on and on. Always a break in a water pipe or some type of hot water/no water issue. This week their is a big foundation problem in my building so first thing in the morning workers are outside my window jack hammering concrete out from under the building. The entire building shakes - all day. Can't sleep, watch TV or hear yourself think. The only time I can open my balcony door to let some fresh air in is when the people downstairs aren't home. They are constantly smoking cigarettes and the second hand smoke comes up and fills my apartment. The entrances gates are always broken too. So forgot the security of a gated community. This place is such a disaster we are moving out 4 months early and just paying off our lease we want to get out so bad. The office staff is pretty nice but they have an insanely high turn over rate. The almost two years I've been here I've seen four managers come and go. Much better places to live in the area for less cost and less headache.

::How should I begin. Horrible place to live in STAY AWAY. When I first moved in the concrete stairs were crumbling apart so getting to my apartment on the second floor was a major safety hazard, And not just a small piece came off most of one step came off. I notified the office and they did not seem to care, It took them almost 2 months to get it fixed. Every single day I was terrified of going up and down those stairs. Just comes to show how much they actually care about their residents. Second My kitchen drawer was broken because of the poor materials being used and it took them 3 months to fix that. Everytime I would call they would say it was "lost" during the shipment. Very annoying Air conditioning is horrible my apartment is usually always over 70. Then it makes the bill go higher of course. They only have 1 vent upstairs to go through the bedroom to the living room. Next is their staff, they are so fake they try to be so nice to you until you move in you are irrelevant to them. Everyone has an attitude with me very unprofessional and very unresponsive. PLUS random people come in at night to use the pool that do not even live here because this apartment complex does not actually always close the gate. They usually always have it open for anyone to just roam in. The other day someone tried to brake into my car for that same reason. Plus my rent goes up every single month. i would not recommend this place to anyone. stay away

::In a newly remodeled unit. Very nice. Small, but has adequate kitchen, living, bedroom and bath spaces. After seven days, the custodian arrived to attend to the three things noted for repair upon move-in. The office staffers have been courteous and friendly. Lakewood is close to work and convenient to the types of services you'd expect in your community (I.e., dry cleaners, nail salons, restaurants, coffee shops). So far, so good.
