::Amazing! I was completely desperate and in a lot of pain, and was wondering how I would be able to keep up feeding my baby. Betty came on the same day I called her, and was so nice, compassionate and helpful! She was very gentle with the baby, and gave me a lot of tips and gadgets to help breastfeeding and avoid mastitis. I felt a lot more confident after her visit.

::Do not hesitate to call Betty. Three days post-partum, she came over to our apartment in a major snow storm and kept all hopes of breast feeding alive. A nipple shield, a gel pack, even some cabbage leaves - we did it all and feeding is now a total joy - even at 3am! Cannot recommend highly enough. She totally outperformed the lactation consultant who visited me post-delivery at the hospital. I found her via my insurer (United). It was one phone call and a couple of texts and she turned up a few hours later. In addition to her expertise, Betty is a truly remarkable person (and mother of 8) and her anecdotes and stories were very reassuring and heart warming.

::Betty was a lifesaver for me - I saw her the day after coming home from the hospital with my first, as was having a lot of pain breastfeeding. She took her time nicely walking through every detail, and was so warm and friendly. Not only is she a breastfeeding expert but she is also an expert in all things baby! Really appreciate the help she was to guide me. I plan to work with her more and suggest her to anyone and everyone I know! Thanks again, Betty!

::I found Betty through my insurance portal - she's the only one in the NYC area that accepts United Healthcare, to my knowledge. My son wasn't latching so we were feeding him through a syringe with little luck. I called her on Saturday and she came to my home the next day. She taught us better positions, how to properly finger feed, pump, and burp. It was extremely helpful - six days later and the baby is latching and eating like a champ, thanks in big part to Betty's guidance! And most importantly, she made us feel better that we were doing a good job; new babies are a lot of work and require a lot of learning, and she gave us confidence that we were on the right path.

::TL; DR: Betty is AWESOME, call her now to set an appointment! She will help you with all of your breastfeeding problems! Betty just left our house 5 minutes ago and I honestly can't recommend her...ENOUGH! She is EPIC. She is worth her weight in gold. If the following review is too long for you, just call her now and set an appointment. My wife and I had our 1st child on 12/16/17 and we're trying to exclusively breastfeed and the first few days were going well but after day 3 (cluster feed day) it got harder and harder for him to latch. Enter all the problems that come with bad latching. Enter the downward cycle of feeling guilt that you need to feed your baby and you can't because of painful latches, that back and forth in your mind of should you give formula, or pump and give a bottle, or just bear all the pain and die in the process. We were about to give up. We didn't know what to do. After frantic calls to North Shore University Hospital (the hospital where my son was born, which for whatever reason, does NOT do follow-up lactation consulting, doesn't make sense...) they told us to call other places. Called my insurance and Betty was the only one in the Queens area that takes our insurance. Called her yesterday afternoon and she didn't pick up. I left a message detailing all of the above, also telling her that I was going to call her again every hour pretty much until we got in contact. 30 minutes later she called me and we set an appointment for today (12/21/17) at 1pm. She actually came to our house (Bayside) and immediately knew what to do. She is friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, and awesome. She told us about her family (she has 8 children), life experiences (she loves this job), previous jobs (was a principal and teacher) and just made us feel at home. It felt like if your mom comes over and your mom just happens to be the most knowledgeable person in breastfeeding and is able to teach you and guide you and help you and just walk alongside you as you bungle through all the things that we have to do to breastfeed our child. She is practical, down-to-earth, and just awesome. Our son drank 2 oz from the breast (!) while she was here as she fixed and fine tuned all of the problems we were having. He's contently knocked out (milk drunk :P) after his feeding. As you can probably tell, I highly recommend Betty to anyone who is having any issue with breastfeeding. Had it not been for her, we would have given up. It was just too hard during these past few days. Thank you so much, Betty, for all that you do. You truly are a Godsend! May God bless you greatly!
