  Retaliation commisioner Dennis Valley gave me false information and was very pushy. I felt like he wasn't listening to my side of the story and tried to get me to settle for the lowest amount possible. After turning down a settlement offer that he purposed he sat on my case for 3 years without writing a decision. Its very suspicious how my case wasn't looked at again till after the new rule passed not allowing apeals in August of this year. So after waiting three years I was forced to take the settlement that doesn't even cover my expenses that the company I worked for made me endure. Please do yourself a favor and take your case somewhere else.

  My former employer had NSF funds on my last check. I went into the labor board and they helped me claim my money back and penalized the company. I wish I would have kept track off all their illegal activities (like having me work more than 40 hours a week and then telling me I could not put more on my time card). If you feel that something is not right or legal, contact the labor board. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. Thank you SD Labor Board. Your work and help are greatly appreciated.

  I guess you have too be a foreigner for the labor commission to help you its been a full year and nothing they haven't even got in contact with the company
