  One of the top 3 Worst gym in the city. Over 30 cardio machines that HALF don’t work. Equipment out of service. Carpet on the floor wet and smells. Don’t even get me started on the men’s bathroom with the smell. Tissues all over the floor and overall sanitation is very very bad. You probably get more of a calorie burn jumping from cardio machine to cardio machine to find which one works. Studio rooms also out of service (cycling) and the other room always smelling like humidity and sweat. Don’t recommend , invest in yourself somewhere else.

  I enjoy this facility. It is clean bright well equipped and not pushy. Can't wait to try the newly renovated pool.

  This gym is a terrible place to work out for several reasons. 1) You have to pay for parking to use their facility. 2) Machines and weights are almost always broken or misplaced 3) The managerial staff are incompetent and WILL try to charge you months after you cancel your membership with them. 4) The cleaning staff is lazy and it leaves the gym with a dirty feeling to it. For its size it should be the best gym around but it really fall short

  Joined this gym and a month later I canceled my membership. I came in around 11 AM which shouldn’t be a time where the gym is crowded. The dumbbells are never where they are supposed to be, the attachments for the cable machines are all over the place, the plates for the barbells also all over the place. I did not see anything provided for wiping down the machines. The rug in many places of the gym is torn up off the floor. And some machines are just not working. Overall The LA fitness name has more to it than the actual gym, I was not impressed so I canceled.

  Over-all, we are happy with the LA Fitness at Ridge Hill. Al of the negative reviews kind of blow me away. Compared to PF and Blink, the place is paradise. The guy who cleans during the week is amazing. On the weekends, it is not as clean. Neither my wife and I have experienced the issues with the broken equipment that seem to plague some of the other users. We both do a combination of aerobic exercise and weights. Pros - the place (outside of the training area) is usually very clean. Most of people who go regularly are pretty nice. There are not a lot of attitudes. It is just a nice gym. Cons - the showers are COLD and have been for months. They are cold enough that I am tempted to not re-up our membership in the Spring. I would have rated the gym 4 or 5 stars had the shower situation been better. It is frustrating. If it improves, we will definitely re-up when we are due. If not, I am not sure what we will do. What else can I say? Perhaps my sense of reality is different in terms of what I expect in a gym. Outside of the cold showers I am very happy there - admittedly we are morning folks and it may be a different experience at night. II suggest folks try before they biuy - they offer 7 day memberships for free. If you think it stinks - go somewhere else.
