Totally awesome! That is what I can say about this place. Everything we had was delicious and top quality. Our party of four shared most everything and we tried several items from the menu. For appetizers, we had the Cucumber Qmora miso, Sliced Duck, and Steak Takata. All three were absolutely delicious. Especially the Duck. Loved the sauce. For the main course, we had Sashimi and also had the Seafood Dynamite, which was delightful! I only wish we had bread or something to sop up all the creamy sauce with. We wanted every last drop of it. So good. We also had s few rolls and the standout was the Kokora Roll - the house special roll with Albacore and Tempura Shrimp. It was so good. We had a total of four of these rolls. We couldn't get enough, they were so good. If you are a sushi lover and like authentic Japanese style with real crab, not the imitation stuff, this is the place for you.

Kokoro restaurant, alongside Sushi Shirahama, are the two best sushi restaurants in San Diego. The master chef makes perfect, authentic Japanese osushi/nigiri. They have the best sushi rice I have ever had. My wife and I come by almost every month. It's been a habit. And we are happy to keep going there on special days.

Awesome restaurant, I'm in San Diego for 10 days vacation and I went to this restaurant two times. The food is really good out there, awesome customer service, and the design of the place is amazing. If I ever come back to San Diego I will surely go to this restaurant again.

I had a bad day and i stumbled upon this place searching for a place to eat. The atmosphere was very welcoming and calm like I expected. The lunch I had was also exquisite making it worth it's price. The pork cutlet was done well and the meat to rice ratio was spot on. Though I didn't order any sushi I was sitting at the bar in front of the chef who was making some. He impressed me with his professional cutting skills and showmanship. It was neat to watch. The waitress who served me was also kind and had a maternal like presence. I'll be sure to come back again with my sister to try the sushi they're famous for.
