::Was in the Bay Shore Kohl’s last evening and wanted to give a shout out to two great emplyoees: Lillian, was so helpful & pleasant when she saw me with my arms full and retrieved a shopping cart-I didn’t even ask! I thought that was so awesome! I was in there for over an hour browsing and she actually helped me 3 or more different times, with a smile each time! While in the shoe department I asked a cashier (Leslie) if there was someone to help me with locating a missing mate to a shoe on display. Leslie called for help & out came Lillian! While finally checking out, it was Leslie who rang me up and was so helpful with showing me how to work the Kohl’s app, which I’ve had for a while, but she showed me other nuances I wasn’t aware of that would save me money! Thanks so much to both Lillian and Leslie! You both exude exemplary Customer Service skills!! Thank you for making my visit so pleasant!

::Great deals! Always seems to have in advertised specials even midweek. Took of 1 star because of weekend shopping. It is always loosely organised chaos on the weekends. Lines at checkout are always terribly long, and not only is the merchandise strewn all about (especially on the displays in the aisles). For example, the weekend after New Years, I was shopping for a shirt for my nephew. As we were standing on line to checkout, we watched 2 men tearing through wallets, literally ripping them out of their boxes, snapping the elastic bands and dropping the paper inserts on the floor. They must have been looking for some specific feature, but the whole time they did this, there was an employee refunding shirts, watching them from a distance no more than 7 feet away. She never said a word to them. I did, and they walked away. That's why I won't stop on the weekends and took away a star. But to end on a positive note, the cashiers, and all the employees are very pleasant, as well as knowledgeable about the merchandise and it's location. I will go back and shop again, Monday through Friday.

::Went to make my purchases on Tuesday, day AFTER Christmas. Store was a MESS. No one staffing the Men's Dept. Woman's Dept had 3+ staff only pulling products off sales floor ( rush vendor returns?). They appeared oblivious to the line over 100 customers deep, right next to their push carts & conversation, no can I help and no eye contact.. yes 1 Special wait line for returns was over 100 customers deep at 3pm. Kohl's famous for not enough cashier's ( staff) on most busy days and to me their plan/execution for 'Boxing day' customer service was very poor. Seemed like only 2 ( harried & slow process) staff to handle annual customer returns crowds( expect crowds EVERY year?. Sorry Not a favorable visit to this large store. Line to TAKE cash was not as bad as usual, however my cashier could not end my $200+ purchase when I used Kohl's cash And my Kohl's charge, ( technology issues at end of purchase transaction) so we had to move all to a second ring/ cashier. DUH, Kohl's will follow Sears to Chapter 11 if they don't focus on actual retail customer service experience. Can you say Amazon?
