  Gene is great -- he was patient, informative, and helpful. As a new ham with a limited budget, this is a refreshing thing to experience.

  Gene is a very pleasant shop keep. I have purchased a couple radios, books and amateur radio accessories from him at the Big Butler Hamfest in Butler Pa. and was able to visit his shop. Sadly, they have limited hours due to illness. His prices for being a brick and mortar store are a reasonable as they get, imho.

  KJI .. specifically Gene is just GREAT! The store is nice with a good selection of solid gear but the real reason you go to KJI is because of Gene! A truly stand-out, great guy known for his integrity. He handles special orders with no problem and is simply, Mr. Reliable. Gene and KJI are the "rock" of ham radio in northern New Jersey!

  I've now been to this store twice, and I've had a great experience both times. Gene is very friendly and strives to help you find exactly what you need. I told him what I was looking for, and that's what I got. I was in and out of the store within 15 minutes. Highly recommend the store.

  I have known Gene for over 10 years and he is a straight shooter. He will tell you what no to buy as well as what to buy. He ships the same day and I have never had a billing error once. My entire shack (except for the my SteppIR antenna) came from KJI Electronics.
