  I signed up for an account online and had to stop by a branch to retrieve my account number. When I tried to do this... the teller literally told me she wasn't comfortable giving me my account number because the last time this happened she gave out someone else's account information by mistake. Now... I'm not a bankologist or anything, but I'm pretty sure that's kind of a big deal, and not something you should be freely telling customers.
