  Kern Landscape Resources are working class folk heroes! Last summer, I was advised to use Kern's signature OGB (the organic grower's blend) and my plants and vegetables have never been happier. They grew like the plants in the movie Little Shop of Horrors! Staff was super helpful. I gave them my measurements and they calculated the precise amount. No bull either. Which was nice. Dig their local vibe. Their honey is awesome, too. And that guy that does the Kern sign out front is a genius.

  Delivered compost is bait and switch. The compost was not screened and contained 25% sticks and stones. Their "fully composted" cow manure is 100% NOT composted. It is separated dried solids that have not been composted. This is the reason it still smells like manure and repels moisture. Their vegetative compost was analyzed by the University of Minnesota labs. Even after removing the waste sticks it came in at only 25% organic matter - the very lowest for compost. For comparison the cheapest ($1.79 a bag) compost from Home Depot contained 40% organic!
