::A good size station but unfortunately you need to know your direction before entering the station. Otherwise you will end up at the wrong platform. So make sure you choose-wise.

::This is a subway station on the MBTA "red line" which serves the MIT community and the technology-based companies of the immediate area, such as Google and Microsoft, as well as the major pharmaceutical players like Takeda and Genzyme. Considering how heavily used the station is, and considering how important the area it serves is, one would expect more investment in its maintenance. It should be cleaner and the staff should be more professional. I have used it regularly since 1994 and have observed it slow, sad decline. The best testimony to this is the mechanical chime installation in the middle of the tracks. Riders could operate it manually from controls on either side. This hasn't worked since the late 90s. Like much of the MBTA system, it has been left to rot.

::I liked the description about the history of MIT on the walls. The station could use some more light though.

::Your standard subway station and closest to MIT. I enjoyed taking the subway here and the staff was friendly.

::Nice subway, but it's a subway station so you can't expect much, but there's also chimes towards the end of the station.
