  The location was super and the rooms were decent. The staff was helpful but a little reserved I would think.

  A quaint for story Hotel situated in downtown Los Angeles extremely close to all of the public transportation clean the room was somewhat small but on the other side it was a nice hotel

  Stayed here one night on business because the price was right, location was good, and did not need to park a car. The rooms are small, but clean. Staff is friendly. Although the hotel states that it is a 100% smoking free hotel, I do not know if they consider vaping as smoking. I did not appreciate the hallway to the rooms smelling of marijuana, now legal in CA for recreational use. My coworker's room had the smell inside the room upon opening the door. I proceeded to my room and opened the door to my room with the same smell 3 rooms down the hall. We checked in at 11am, so you can do the math. I was able to open the window and air out the room quickly with the outdated single pane window that does not block the street noise, but would at least open. I would not stay here again.

  The rooms are small but so charming. I would definitely recommend Kawanda hotel. Close to lots of great shops to explore and good eating places, too!
