  The best purveyor of seafood at The West Side Market AND Northeast Ohio. Always a great variety of FRESH fish and shellfish available. Sushi grade is available sometimes too. I'm always impressed with the different types of oysters that come in throughout the year. I'm also impressed with the freshness of the shellfish, almost never is there an open clam, oyster, or mussel. I love the Texas Gulf Shrimp with the heads (the heads are the best part!).

  In Cleveland, Kate's Fish is THE place to get fresh fish. As an east coast transplant to Cleveland... it was hard to find really great fresh fish until Tom started to really source and provide great fish, oysters, etc through this WSM stand. The smoked fish are great too. I go with an open mind to see what looks great and they always deliver. (BY the way - to the comment from another reviewer - there is no way anyone bought frozen oysters from last year here. I have had oysters dozens of times from Kate's and they are the best in Cleveland).

  I bought oysyers a bit early in the season and was given frozen oysters from last season, that is all I need to say.
