I do not know much about home furnishing. I am actually banned from discussing home decorating in 12 states. Fortunately, New York is not one of them as I have to tell you about my experience with Kastel Kitchen. I needed some work done on my apartment, I was really looking to incorporate an old-school library feel, full of books I would never read. They talked me through a wide-variety of options I had to choose from. I decided on a huge cabinet and new desk/table for the room. At first I did not love the price, but I looked around and saw it was more than competitive throughout the city. The work was completely a few days after our agreement, and it still looks sharp months after. Do your research and due diligence, but definitely consider Kastel Kitchen for any home renovation or improvements you are planning.

I came across Kastel Kitchen after doing some extensive research. My mother wants to re-do her entire kitchen and she is beyond picky! She is very peculiar and extremely detailed about her wants and needs. Needless to say, we went with Kastel and the service was phenomenal. They were patient, informative, and accommodating. My mother can be a bit difficult to work with (but she has her reasons). If she is paying for something, she wants it done right! So, Kastel created several designs (so that she could have options), she then picked from a range of cabinetry, and lastly the installation process was stress free! We were so thrilled with the process and would definitely recommend it for anyone else in the market for a kitchen makeover!

Replacing the cabinets in my kitchen was the first step in bringing my apartment out of the seventies and into the new millennium. A friend recommended Kastel so I checked out their website. I have to admit, I was a little intimidated. The site screams “luxury” and I’m in a railroad apartment in Greenpoint! But after a consultation they put my mind at ease. They have such a wide spectrum of choices for all types of people. Now I’ve got beautiful reclaimed wood cabinets, super smooth, super affordable, very 2013. I feel good.

You know you’re official old when you start getting worked up and or excited about kitchen cabinets! No longer are they just the place where you stash the Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Puffs, now they are “décor”. Where I live is very spacious, but the space wasn’t utilized as well as it could be. After several frustrating months of trying to figure out where to store the oat meal and shredded wheat (old people can’t eat the sugary cereals anymore), I got an idea…more cabinets!! In the course of my research, I found Kastel Kitchens Gallery, and was drooling over the photos. Liking what I saw, I decided to take the plunge and picked out new cabinets for the kitchen. The cabinets and installation were in price range. They did a great job, and my kitchen looks beautiful. I was very excited when they finished. I must be off now, as it is well past my bed time! :P

As part of a gut renovation of a duplex apartment, we created an eat-in kitchen by combining a bedroom and a small galley kitchen. With only the constraint of a central water column, we explored several layouts and placements of the cabinets, counters and appliances. Together with Al and Suzanne, we created an exceptionally beautiful, spacious, and highly-functional kitchen. With three adolescent (and often very hungry) kids and their friends, it was important for us to design a space that would be a central focus of the apartment, similar to a great room in suburban homes, which we achieved with great success. As a serious recreational cook, I had a lengthy list of requirements for my kitchen, and some big challenges, which Al and Suzanne met with creative solutions, and always enthusiastically. They are responsive, client focused, attentive to details and very knowledgeable. My cabinets look great, function well and met my very high expectations. Without questions, I would recommend Kastel. They are a pleasure to work with and deliver an exceptional product. Jane Rosenberg New York City
