Great food, Great atmosphere, and even better service!!! The best I have had while in San Antonio! The manager is awesome and the server Stacy was fantastic! Excellent ending to a long weekend in San Antonio!

OK, overall pretty good. The prices were reasonable, the food quality was overall great, with attention to details. But, the quality of the steak (I had a rib eye) was not all that fantastic. The biggest knock that I had is that I ordered, and the food came out in a flash. It is a drag to wait too long, but rushed service is just as bad. That said, I would recommend the place and would return.

First off the good: The service was good here and the sirloin steak was pretty good as well. The atmosphere is fun. There's a huge tree trunk in the middle of the restaurant decorated with Christmas lights. The bad: If you come here do not get the tap water. It was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't drink more than two swallows. Horrible aftertaste. I asked for the sirloin steak done medium well. There was no pink in the streak and it was well done when I received it. Not a huge deal for me but I was expecting at least a little pink. The onion rings were ok, but a bit crispy for my liking.

My fiancĂ© swears the beef sandwich was the best she has ever had. I had the good ole spaghetti. It was good. Not memorable, but good. The cocktails were a little weak...we asked if we could have some liquor added to one cocktail in particular and they claim they put some extra in....very doubtful. Don’t like that kind of “customer service.” Think we weren’t taken seriously cause we look younger. Don’t judge who is coming in your restaurant by what they look like. We were gonna spend a pretty penny on drinks, but nah. But overall, a good place.

I've always wanted to check this place out. It's historic and the building is old and it adds to the charm. It's a nice contrast to the newness of The Pearl that has grown around it. Perhaps the Josephine the clam? The onion rings are great. I loved my steak and my mom and aunt enjoyed the burgers. No draft beer but they serve tiny chilled glasses with the cans or bottles. Too cute! I'll be back.
