The library is a slanted, one-sided shrine that's filled with many lies to make JFK, who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, to seem saintly because he looked so boyishly handsome. Prior to coming, I was really expecting 2 rooms: JFK's conquests with thousands pictures of whom he banged and the 11/22/63 assassination, but understandably came across neither. Instead, I saw how much of the taxpayers' money was wasted on Jackie's frivolous spending habits to "restore history" and wear a different Parisian designer dress every single day in her life. By the way, JFK never wrote the book: Profiles in Courage. Somebody else did, but JFK took the credit. I actually laughed myself silly when I read the beginning sentence of one display about how the seeds that would lead to the Bay of the Pigs first began during the last administration and that JFK was basically handed the mess he was forced to clean up. The Cuban Missile Crisis? That was all JFK's fault as he escalated it by setting up nuclear weapons in Turkey much earlier to have the decided advantage of attacking USSR which obviously triggered the crisis. The mess in Vietnam was started during JFK's term which didn't have to happen in the first place, but it just mushroomed anyway. JFK did not care a farthing about the civil rights or what was happening the South with the bombings of black churches; instead, he gave the FBI his blessing to harrass those who eere trying to promote the movement that would finally see the passage of the Civil Rights bill during LBJ's term. On the other hand, somewhere in that fake library should be a wall of what happened at Chappaquiddick with blow-up pictures and another about how the father ran an illegal organization to distribute alcohol during the Prohibition to create a fortune, had Rosemary lobotomized and therefore hid away from the public for life, and rigged the national election for JFK. All in all, stop with the lies and cover-ups and start telling the truth; the JFK Library just looks stupid as a result.

Absolutely amazing museum that everyone in the Boston area should check out at least once. This place is filled with amazing details of JFK's life from the start to the end with all the context. The admission price is being reasonable especially considering the architecture is stunning. The 6 story all glass foyer is a sight to behold. Information wasn't overwhelming and the museum isn't so large as to take all day. The small videos playing at many artifact displays were concise and well made. They even participate in Bank of America's Museums on Us program.

One of the most interesting places I have ever been to. Fascinating historical events documented in film and photographs of John F.Kennedy. Private and political life. Sensational footage of Senate and presidential campaigns and inspirational speeches and also his inauguration.

I visited JFK in April at 10 am. Hardly anyone there at that time. The seniors discount is great. A tour map is available and docents invite you to join their free walking tour with detailed info on all the exhibits. There are special areas set aside for profiles of Jackie K, Bobby K and Edward K. The JFK theme was mainly orientated to his political career. It would have been richer with more home movies and more interviews with friends and family about his life growing up, and his personality out of the sight of media. It seemed an interesting but shallow exploration of JFK with all his complexity. Unfortunately the gift shop with books, sweatshirts and replicas was closed for renovation. The cafe offers excellent soup sandwiches and tea or coffee, drinks etc.

If you want to see some great history take the time to venture over to the JFK library and take the time to see some history from the early 60’s. Some great Items you can view and hear some first hand. There is great detail about the highlights of his shortened term, ending, of course, with his assassination. You end by going out into a tremendous room with about a 4-story ceiling and a view out over Boston Harbor.
