  My experience rolfing with Jim, has been transformative, both physically and emotionally. His presence is calming, and his demeanor is friendly, professional, and peaceful. I have had 10 sessions with Mr. Gates, and each session has been a positive experience, which has helped me become more aware; physically, spiritually, and emotionally. His expertise in Rolfing is apparent considering the immensity of benefits I have experienced and continue to experience, which range from a more flexible body, a more open mind, and a softer heart. What I have gained working with Jim is priceless. He has not only helped my posture, he has relieved any pain that was physically present before I started with him, and most importantly for me, our work together has led to a deeper connection between my mind, body and spirit. He has never made me wait once. He is punctual and doesn't waste any time. He cares about his clients, and the results they achieve. And that is evident by the amount of extra time he has spent with me above and beyond the hour long session. I couldn't be happier with Jim Gates. I am blessed to have found him, and even more blessed that he possesses such expertise in his craft. He is truly a remarkable Rolfer, and simply a special person.   I can't say enough about Jim's healing ability! I have been a personal trainer for almost 16 years. I am also a certified yoga instructor, so needless to say, I need to use my body for my work. Before meeting Jim, many days seemed impossible to get through; not great for business when the "fitness go to" is writhing in the corner from an onset of muscle spasms. Past accidents/injuries had resulted in chronic and progressive pain in my cervical and lumber spine. Over the years I have sought help with physical therapy, chiropractic care, deep tissue massage and though some relief had been granted, it it was short lived. Benefit from trigger point injections were also temporary. Depression and poverty loomed. I had heard about Rolfing and decided that this was my last avenue of hope. Then I found Jim. All has changed. The freedom from pain and the range of motion I once again experience is indeed a blessing. I have my active life back and can actually sit in front of the computer for more then an hour without seizing up. Jim is not only a healer with a gift but also a kind and beautiful person. He has helped in healing my body, my mind and my soul. He is the real deal.
