::Updated to add: It has come to my attention after posting this review that Jester Plaza Vet Clinic is now under new ownership. The experience that I had there was with a previous team, and Dr. Burda specifically. Original Review: I have waited some time to post this review, in the hope that there may be a positive resolution. Unfortunately, that was not the case. To put it in a succinct way, Jester Plaza irresponsibly prescribed a prescription to my dog that nearly killed her and left her with irreparable damage. At the time that the drug (Advantage Multi) was prescribed, I questioned the vet regarding its safety for my dog since she did not meet the required weight limit and had a previous severe reaction to a similar medication. The vet assured me it would be safe (and I have this recorded on an answering machine message). I applied the medication to my dog as prescribed, and she had a severe and life threatening reaction. She became unable to walk, screamed, and suffered from ataxia and paresis. Multiple veterinary specialists have confirmed that she experienced a reaction to the medication (Gulf Coast, Sunset Blvd). Jester Plaza not only refused to acknowledge responsibility, but their malpractice insurance refused to provide support for my dog's emergency medical bills. I was stuck with the financial burden of thousands of dollars of medical bills as a result of their malpractice. They had the ability to provide financial support through insurance, but refused. I will never take another animal to this facility. Not only do they operate without the level of thought and care to ensure the safety of your pets, but they will also neglect to support you in the event of a veterinary error. The least they could have done was provide financial support for the vet bills that resulted from their miscalculation. It is a miracle that my dog lived despite their negligence, but her life is a shadow of what it could have been.

::Rude, expensive, disrespectful and unprofessional. I took my dog there for 2 years and always had the impression that some unnecessary exams , tests and service were "strongly recommended". Today was the last time I put a foot there... I got my dog back after one week of boarding, 3 baths ( in 1 week!!!) 1 for free, 2 charged because the dog has peed in his kennel ( if you take him out of the kennel early this does not happen...) and a 2 inches cut on the cheek that nobody had noticed... After exam i was asked when i could potentially come back for stitches...i asked for it to be done today ( saturday) because i have things to do on monday (like most people) There answer was "Well, we have other things to do too"...nice way to treat customers, especially when i just paid 400 USD for one week of boarding, 1 stomach deworming , 2 baths and a pack of dog food. I got a 30 USD ointment to apply for a week, hoping "It should get better by itself without the need for stitches"... Very bad service, expensive and unfriendly people. They care more about emptying your wallet than they care about your dog... BTW, after cleaning the wound myself, it appears the dog has been scratched so bad it does not have hairs anymore on a spot twice the size of a quarter, bare flesh...

::Dr Lem and Dr Herron are wonderful caring veterinarians. I never feel like I'm being rushed in and out. The staff is super friendly and professional. I'm so glad I finally found a place where I feel that my pets get great care!

::Our Siberian Husky Juju has been going to Jester Plaza since we adopted her as a puppy. They have always taken excellent care of her. We have used all of their vet services including daycare and boarding. We even buy her food there because she has a sensitive stomach. We are very grateful for the extra attention and care they give to not just our dog but all of the animals they see. We will never take our dog anywhere else unless we absolutely had to. Thanks Jester Plaza.
