  I usually don't buy much pipe since I am a buyer for a FERC regulated Transportation company and we have not bought much over the last 3 years, however, they invited me to their pipe yard for a lunch a learn, and the I-10 location is by far the cleanest most organized yard I have been to 10 years. Their efficiency is impressive. Pipe is racked, no trash, no dust, organized, and easy to locate; their material was all uniform lengths and every truck I witnessed seemed to be in and out fast, I saw little wait times as I was touring the yard. I only wish most of the most FBE coaters yards had the same level of efficiency; We can all dream can't we?

  I have been in the oil & gas business on both the E&P side purchasing and on the sales side of line pipe. I have to say that knowing the business and suppliers Fields has the best quality, service and pricing. I have bought domestically from JD Fields for years, but 3 years ago I changed jobs where I buy for numerous international projects and JD Fields continues to be the best. They consistently have a large inventory of world class mills to choose from and always deliver both domestically and more importantly internationally. I have continued to refer JD Fields to our partners on our international projects and they have always been our top line pipe supplier.
