::I Started taking Drum lesions with Joe Carozza when I was 8. I studied with him until I was 18 years old and left for college. He is an outstanding teacher. He tough me more then I could ask for. He is an endless book of knowledge about the drums! Joe helped me get into All County Band and All County Jazz Band every year I auditioned. Every year that I went to NYSMA I always scored at outstanding grade all because of Joe. He is a kind, patient, funny and talented. He has inspired me in so many ways. He truly helped me become the person I am today. He's an amazing drummer himself. If you ever get the chance be sure to go watch him play. Thanks again for everything Joe! You have shown me that music truly can move your soul! Amber D'Amico

::Joe is a very down to Earth and humble drum instructor. He's not only enthusiastic about what he does, but is very effective in transforming his knowledge of music and drumming into understandable and comprehensible information. In just a few months of lessons with Joe my drumming has improved more than it has in the last 14 years.

::I have been studying drums with Joe for 5 years now and I absolutely love it. He has really helped me improve as a drummer and has improved my appreciation for music. Thanks to Joe I have been able to play in many selective groups such as Jazz Band, Area All State, Wind Ensemble, and even as the drummer in our high school theater productions. Joe is very talented, patient, and I was able to get along with him really well thanks to his laid back and fun loving personality. He is an amazing teacher and I am very glad that I chose to take lessons with him. I think it is the main reason why I love drumming and have continued to have such an interest throughout my life as a student.

::When I saw Joe perform for the percussionists at my school when I was in the eighth grade I knew that I had to take lessons with him. Later that year after asking my mom if I could take drum lessons, she finally agreed and I started taking lessons that June. Ever since then I have been taking lessons and even after four years I continue to learn new and interesting things. It is Joe's easy going personality and the confidence that he has in you that really makes the experience all worth while. Over the past four years, lessons have given me more than just knowledge of all different types of music, it has given me a renewed sense of confidence in myself both as a person and as a musician. The lessons are worth every penny and I would highly recommend it to anyone that finds enjoyment in music.

::Studying with Joe Carozza through high school was a formative musical experience for me. His musicianship is first rate, and he's a kind and generous person as well. I so appreciate that he gave me the freedom to explore the things I was interested in but also encouraged me to reach beyond my comfort zone and into some repertoire that I now absolutely love. I've gone on in music, most recently to the PhD in Composition, and am sure that lessons with Joe were a big part of awakening in me the joy of participating in music and wanting to pursue it in a rigorous way. Thank you!
