  The best deli in NYC!!! I grew up in the neighborhood it's my childhood deli ;) always took great care of my family! and they always have the best options for kids absolutely love this delicatessen!

  There aren’t a lot of these kind of places left. It feels like an authentic kosher deli. They have the old school potato knishes that are reminiscent of mrs stahls, and no, they are not as good of course. Pastrami is warm and delicious, but it’s $30per pound. You can eat in or take to go. I’ve eaten there a few times and never been let down. They have what appears to be homemade fresh cut French fries which are great. I’ve had the pastrami, roast beef, specials, knish, and matzo ball soup. All were very good.

  Try their derma - you won't be disappointed. One of the last kosher delis left and the best one. Their pastrami is amazing. And their tongue sandwich- it speaks for itself!!

  Great location! I had wanted to take my mother and her partner to an authentic New York deli. I had recently moved not too far away and wondered why I would hike into the city when there was something amazing in my backyard. Our server was Beth- she's awesome. Y'all should give her a raise. Before the meal starts, they will bring you cole slaw and different types of pickles to whet your appetite. The slaw and pickles were, of course, phenomenal. We each had some variation of a Reuben sandwich. I had the classic. It melted in my mouth. I will return with other friends or family members that are visiting.

  It’s hard to rate places like this. Kind of like rating your mom’s cooking, or rating meals that made up your childhood. While we only had the hot pastrami and corned beef on rye, the quality is worth coming back for again and again. Certainly as good as 2nd avenue deli, although I think Jay and Lloyd’s hot pastrami is a bit less salty (which is a good thing depending on your preference). They have a wide selection of old school prepared deli foods, definitely more Kosher style than German style delis. The owners, I have to say, are wonderful and kind to all their patrons. These guys really care about their service and quality of food.
