  My review is just a drop in the bucket but this place is in a very bad area. I feared my safety. The resturant itself was not the most hygienic.

  Genuine Jamaican food. Very friendly owners, family feel restaurant. I always get jerk chicken which is always very good. Service during busy lunch times can be slow and not the best (from the servers). Prices can be steep but they give you well enough for 2 or more people.

  I had a great experience my first time Merrick was just lovely to shoot the breeze with. The mac and cheese was on point and fresh out the oven. My second experience was just ok partly because I really wanted the delicious mac and cheese I had the first time however someone else had made it and I wasn't thrilled. But I will go back and give it another shoot because it was just so on point the first time.

  I asked for curry no rice with double cabbage, got home and had beans and rice!! Took it back and they gladly corrected their mistake and even insisted I keep the other plate. The problem came in when I tasted it, the curry flavor was so watered down you could barely taste the curry. The cabbage was way over cooked and mushy. I love this place and this is the first time I didn't like the food. They said since the older man is at the new location that the food on Poole Rd has fell off. So looks like I will be going to Friendship plaza.
