::I recently had a service call with Jacob Bros and ended up waiting all day on the day of service for the technician to get to me. I was not given a time for the appointment, not even a ballpark guess, which left me waiting all day! Since I live and work over an hour from the unit needing service, I had to miss a day of work and ended up not meeting the technician until almost 6:00pm. This is not acceptable and needs to change! Once the tech got there, he turned the valve back on that was leaking (3rd floor) and then went to the first floor, messed with the furnace, drained some water from tank, let it refill and then NEVER returned to the 3rd floor to check if it was leaking...the entire reason I made the call in the first place. Turns out, I got a call in the middle of the night from my tenant because of it leaking again and the bathroom being flooded. Thankfully (mostly to my complaining) they made it out the next day by mid day (more missed work) and couldn't do anything except confirm it was leaking and now had to order parts (a valve) and schedule another day to fix it. The tech sent me a quote for $750.00-$1200.00 to replace ONE valve! That is insane! I looked them up and the valves are $12.00 . I was going to have them put on-demand water heaters in all of my apartments along with (eventually) split air units to eliminate the boiler system all together. But now, not a chance! I cannot believe how these guys do business and I plan to report this to Angie's list and post on FB as well for unsuspecting people in the future!

::I have no idea how that other reviewer could give a 1-star review. Jacob Bros. have installed two complete systems for me over the last 15 years, plus numerous system check visits. Never a problem or overbilling or anything like that - just very competent service. In both cases their installers did more than the contract called for (like adding a T junction) at no charge.

::If this company is at all related to the Cincinnati based outfit STAY CLEAR OFF DECEPTIVE PRACTICES! Each time they came out to conduct annual “service checkups” the capacitor would blow and require $100 replacement. They checked my air conditioning and over pressurized it blowing out the coils requiring a $2000 complete replacement. Buyer Beware!
