  Hotel is near train tracks with trains blowing their horns as they pass by late into the night. Walls are paper thin so you'll be "privileged" to hear every word of conversations to either side of your room even when people are not speaking loudly. There was an old smelly sandwich left in a the fridge. TV programming was decent but the set itself was old and picture quality was awful. The only decent thing about this hotel is that it's close to Jack London Square and nice restaurants.

  One of the worst places I have ever stayed in in the USA - it was apparently undergoing renovation - this was not mentioned at the time of booking. Room had not been cleaned from previous occupancy. Only positive comment is that the location was good. If you are a light sleeper - you may want to take some ear plugs - right next to a railway line and they always sound their horn whilst passing.

  I have been checked into this hotel for a week now. I currently am living day by day hotel jumping lifestyle which is very difficult in the Bay Area, especially when there is a convention in town so a room at a property that should go for $68 a night, jumps up to $668 a night or more until that convention is over . That's why I enjoy this property very much. The prices are consistent, the front desk does not discriminate against anyone that I am aware of, and they seen to mind their own business also. They may not have room service, or a hot breakfast, but that's what you get for the price. Honestly, I really do enjoy this property a lot. If you are young, this hotel is good. I just wouldn't suggest it for business travelers, or families. Other than that, this property is definitely a place to stay to get the maximum enjoyment at a reasonable and comfortable price.

  This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The hallways smelled of urine. Our room was filthy, with just a sheet on the bed. See pictures below. We checked in, looked at our room, then immediately checked back out. When we checked out (fifteen minutes after checking in) the person at the front desk simply took our room keys back from us as though this happens all the time, didn't ask us if there was an issue, and let us know that our money would not be refunded. Absolutely do NOT stay at this hotel. There are other bargain hotels in the area that are clean, and much better for the same price.

  Actually I would give the ribs a 3.5 with a caveat. I am a lover of BBQ ribs and I am fortunately able to travel the world for my job. I am a lover of the ribs. They were tender, very good quality pork, with a not so amazing sauce. a really good sauce, just not an amazing sauce. If you've never been to a BBQ competition or just got some off a motorcycle in Asia... well you can find amazing BBQ in the strangest of places. it was expensive but it's California. thumbs up.
