  Located in the plaza with Rodeo Galleria and BCD on Western and 9th, J Town offers brand name perfumes, hair, and skin care products at discount prices. The name of this store seems very odd considering it's not in Little Tokyo or "J-Town" but in Koreatown, aka K-Town. I've never asked the employees about the name but it's just strange. Despite being a small store, they have a lot of inventory and have apparently been in business since 1977 (according to their business cards). Parking can be a bit of a hassle but the lot is pretty big so with a little patience you should be able to snag a spot. My mum likes to come here for her skin care products. On our most recent trip this past week, she purchased products from Lancome, Shisheido, and Cle de Peau (part of Shisheido). While the saleswomen said that all the products here are heavily discounted because they are "wholesale" prices, I feel that is not the case for the ones my mum purchased. I found the latter two items for the same price on Amazon (granted, you had to pay shipping on top of that, so it is still cheaper at J Town). The first item, however, I have not managed to find online which is why we go to this store. They raised the prices from the last time we came, but they also gave us a discount (because we complained AND bought two other expensive items) so that was fine. Overall I would say we saved $10-15 by coming here. I do feel like the service is definitely better if you are a middle-aged Korean woman. They are a lot friendlier to my mum than they were to me the one time I came here with a friend. This place doesn't do returns/exchanges so always have them show you the item/colour/texture first before you buy. They always let us sample items which is good. Worth checking out if you're in the area and wanting to buy perfume/skincare/makeup. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for cash savings.
