    DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! See below for a real step by step guide to car buying- hey I beat this service by over $1500 (not counting extra options I didn’t want so refused to pay for). When you beat his price he calls and yells at you- when he bothers to get back to you at all. And he threatens to post your personal information on the internet- name, address, phone number, email- so much for class and business ethic protecting your customers. That’s information he received in good faith and who knows what he’s going to do with it and where he’s going to post it!! This shows a complete lack of consideration for the customers that were hoping he could get better prices than I could find through research. It also shows a complete lack of class. These reports are supposed to help you comparison shop-of course. However even when you beat his price by **thousands**, he won’t actually refund your whole purchase price because “you didn’t buy both cars did you?” No kidding!! 99% of people are buying A car, not multiple cars. He says his company does over 400 of these a month so why not actually have a positive attitude and refund the transaction? Plus in all honesty he doesn’t do much work to get good pricing. Certainly nothing you can’t get with a little internet research. His DIY reports are all of 10 lines long and contain prices that anyone could get AND he doesn’t honor his refund policy when I beat his price by $1500! First he just ignored my emails requesting refund. Then he wanted not just the sales contract (which is all per the website you need for a DIY report refund) but he wanted the window sticker and my finance agreement too. Then he tried to say it wasn’t technically “new” because it has 487 miles on it- the car was hard for the dealership to find with my exact options so it was driven from Annapolis MD to Buffalo NY- 420 total miles. Then he wouldn’t actually refund the entire DIY purchase price because I didn’t buy the 2 cars I was comparing. This is absolutely ridiculous and having to go through this much aggravation is more of a pain than the dealership was! ************So TRULY DIY guide—-if you want to do this yourself, you don’t need this insidecar buying service. Just go to each dealership with a number in mind and don’t compromise. Tell them you’re not a car person and buying and negotiating is a huge pain so you’re just not going to do it. Tell them you’re not going back and forth, no negotiation. You make them an offer based on the information below and a dealership will absolutely sell you a car for less than invoice. Tell them that you’re going to test drive several cars from different dealerships and give each dealership a number. Or you can say “look, I know you can easily sell cars below invoice and without dealer fees because of hold back and reserves. So just give me your truly best price and if it matches with what I find on the internet then we have a deal, but if not then we’re done. Don’t waste your afternoon arguing with salespeople. It’s also always best to work directly with the owner or sales manager. Whoever accepts your offer, that’s the car you buy. What you should know.... -find the invoice price, edmunds is far better than kelly blue book - even at invoice price the dealership still has built in profits in the form of hold backs and reserve. So subtract 5-10% of the MSRP. That’s their built in pure profit. -Don’t pay any dealership fees. No destination fees etc. You have to pay any state fees and state taxes, dmv fees but absolutely nothing else. -Don’t pay destination fees no matter where they find the car they sell you and dont pay for options you don’t want. Just say to them “I don’t want those options so you can feel free to remove them but I’m not paying for something I don’t want”. - Always be prepared to walk away. You should walk away the first day. Tell them you’re going to go drive the chevy, nissan, lexus whatever and they can email you their rock bottom offer. Make sure you constantly say “no negotiations” -it’s really not that difficult to get a below invoice price.

    Tommy Taylor did a wonderful job securing a lease for my wife and me. I was skeptical at first about this service, because I wasn’t sure how anyone could negotiate better deals than comparing dealerships against each other, but when we worked with Tommy- we saved big time!
