::There have been multiple people is my school who have had a pass + on ever ISTEP they've ever take with me included. Today I had to take the math ISTEP for the 3rd time along with 60% of my graduating class on a strict time constraint which didn't even allow me complete the entire test. Not to mention there isn't even a way for me to check the time as the testing app blocks everything out so time management isn't even an option. And just for a little icing on the cake I had to use some graphing calculator I have never used in my life instead of using the calculator I am comfortable with and have used all year. Thanks to the state for screwing me over on a graduation requirement. Oh and don't even bother studying for it because the curriculum u learn through out the year isn't even on there its just some stuff they threw together.

::85% of the 2019 class at Concord High School failed math ISTEP this year. State wide only 70% passed. The department of Education really screwed us over by putting math on the test that’s not on our curriculum, and then decides to make us retake it at a time when none of the students have learned the material! Today I had to take a practice test and it was harder than any math test I’ve ever taken! I’ve gotten a pass + on EVERY SINGLE ISTEP test I’ve taken since the 3rd grade but, magically, I fail this year.

::As a public high school student, I do believe that there are some issues with how our state operates it's public education. These standardized tests such as ISTEP and NWEA all impose on the class time that should be spent learning life skills and about paying taxes and finances. Had the time spent filling in bubbles been utilized for more applicable courses, youngsters like myself would be better off once out of the education world.
