::- Thought provoking sermons (scratches the philosophical itch) - Plenty of options to volunteer (scratches the "deeds" itch) - GREAT community with plenty of places to get connected (scratches the "social" itch) - Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I'm not a fan of their worship 90% of the time. I appreciate that everyone has different tastes, so you may love it, but if my wife would let me I'd come late to avoid it altogether. They write and perform their own music which is awesome and most of the songs are great, but I wish they'd mix it up a bit more with more variety as most of the time it's either that or new takes on old songs (such as hymns) which don't need to be rewritten/edited as they have been proven through time to be great already. They have several bands that are in and out with different styles, which is cool--gospel choir one is the best. Most of the time I have to go elsewhere to get my "musical" itch scratched though. Overall a great place to call home :)

::It feels really weird to write a review for my church but I really want my Google Maps app to stop bugging me to leave a review so I’m going to do it... I love the folks I’ve met at this church and I have felt more accepted and welcomed here than probably any church I’ve ever been a part of. A lot of people went out of their way to bring me into this community. I especially appreciate the way the staff here are willing to talk about subjects that many similar churches are completely silent on. This is a good place for people on all ends of the political spectrum and a good place for people on all ends of the denominational spectrum.

::We decided to look into Imago Dei Community when we were searching for a church with an active youth group. The youth group has proven to be a place that my kids have experienced loving leaders that lead them in truth. I really enjoy the Sunday gathering. The music is fun and often brings me to a place of praise. Often times it is hard to sing along because the performers sing songs their own way. Some don't like that, but I enjoy listening to great live music, and I appreciate their expression of praise. The teaching is almost always excellent. The speakers season timeless truth with pragmatic works. We searched for a while for a home community to become a part of. The one we found is in our neighborhood, and has a great mix of people. It is at this home community that I experience real relational community. One of the things that I love most about this community is that I experience God's grace and His amazing love for us there through His people. The most challenging thing for me is that the church is progressive in its political views. I am politically libertarian and I am uncomfortable with some of the of the things that are said from the stage regarding politics. They seem to have bought in to the liberal narrative. I think that a more conservative person would not feel at home here. I wish the church would steer clear of politics and instead always keep the focus on Kingdom living.

::The doctrine and theology are not sound. Not a christian pastor or church. The Sermons are not from the Bible. The congregation on the other hand are some of the kindest and best people. If you want great Christian friends this is the place to meet them in Portland. They are being led badly and lied to by a man who does not believe in God.His team are greedy ,poor hating, and pay them selves extremely well out of the collection that they say is for the community.
