  So I gave this hotel a 4 star earlier. Edit: kids swimming in the tiny pool and jumping in being kids and having fun. Staff comes and admonishes us .. no jumping. kids wanted a couple more jumps and done. Did it. same guy comes - says 2 strikes and proceeds to give us English lessons. rules are rules.. I get it. make it fair and go after the other guestwho did he same the day before. betcha the camera caught that too. didn't see our buzz kill guy come to read him the rules. whatever, 1 star ..not coming back again!!

  My family and I, have been staying at the Ilima hotel for a number of years now. The best part of staying here is the staff, they are super friendly and pride themselves with customer service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is hard to beat, which is close to one of my favorite places to eat at Marukame Udon.

  It's a great hotel but a bar with crazy patrons is very close by on the same street. This hotel is great once your inside and enjoying the rooms.

  This was an excellent choice for our family. We had a suite with two bedrooms and a pull down bed. The pull down bed mattress was surprisingly comfortable. Loved the balconies -- we seemed to be only people using them. Friendly but not intrusive service. Good cooking and storage facilities. Lots of closet space. Located 1 block from a Biki bike location for very easy Biki transit. Easy to walk to all Waikiki spots. Great for morning runs around the canal.

  Convenient location in Waikiki. Staff was friendly and super helpful with everything that we needed. Our room was very clean and spacious, although you can tell it's a bit outdated. Parking lot was nice since we never had any issues with it being full. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again. If the hotel were to go under renovations to renew its look, this would be one of the best and most comfortable hotels to stay at in Waikiki.
