::Overall very disappointed! I took my daughter for a routine visit and the DA that took us back was clearly less than thrilled with her job. She was very short, dry and seemed annoyed with my daughter. Especially when my four year old couldn't bite down on the bitewings "correctly" during X-ray because they were too big for her mouth. I also did not appreciate the private, non work related conversations and giggles that were being whispered between dental assistants as my daughter sat awaiting her X-rays. After, my daughter was sat in a chair and no further explaination was given. I feel that as a NEW PATIENT we should have been told what to expect next. As time passed my daughters anxiety grew until she broke out into tears. I had to get up and stand in the hallway area just to get someone's attention only to be moved to a "baby room". We currently don't have dental insurance so I paid over $200 basically just for a fluoride application (NO ONE EVEN WENT OVER OUR X-RAY WITH US). On a side note, we saw Dr Matt and he was kind and made my daughter feel comfortable for the short time he was in the room with us. It's a shame the doctors are probably loosing patients because of poor customer service from their staff. We will not be returning to this or any other ikids.

::I felt that the dental assistant wasn’t happy with her job. That caused me to feel uncomfortable during the visit. Her looks and attitude said it all considering my child was a new patient. I can say the Dr was professional and he answered all my questions.

::On August 8, 2017 my experience with iKids Dental Office was horrible, very upsetting and I will not be bringing my two sons back to this office and will not refer anyone I know to this business. Once I got into the office they called me to the back, where they weighed my two sons, my oldest (2 yrs. old) did great at the weighing scale, but my youngest (1 yr. old) through a fit. While throwing the fit the dental assistant hit him on his back firmly and told him to stop. My first reaction was to curse her and hit her back, but I held my composure and told myself I would take that up with management. When I thought it couldn’t get any worst, after weighing them we go to the dental chairs and the dentist looks at my oldest sons teeth first and tells me he needs a filling and that would require them to put him to sleep. I expressed my concern with his dental assistant about putting him to sleep and I was told that they have too and if I put it off and the cavity gets worst and causes an infection, Medicaid will take it as neglect and call CPS. I was really upset, because they never gave me any other option and I felt as though they were trying to scare me into it, instead of telling me other options. Now to my youngest sons teeth. I made an appointment for him, because he does not like getting his teeth brushed, every morning is a fight with him and I have been noticing decay behind his teeth. Which was correct as the dentist confirmed, but him and the assistant after looking at it both looked up at me with stuck up faces like I was a horrible mother. This dental office has the worst customer service and their employees have no people or children skills. I felt disrespected, mistreated and judged; therefore I will not be bringing my kids back.

::We came to this office to get a second opinion on some issues my 3 year old was having with her teeth. The original office gave us one option which was incredibly expensive and had some risks associated with it and would not offer any other solutions. When we came to Ikids, they listened to my concerns and took my daughter's medical history in consideration when planning a treatment for her. They were able to offer a solution with much less risk and much more cost effective. Appointment day comes and the dentist was absolutely amazing. Got a crown and filling done in maybe 15minutes. He made sure everyone was comfortable and got it done quickly so my toddler wouldn't be traumatized. After we left my daughter told me she wanted to go back tomorrow (whic should speak millions for this office) Dental work on young kids can't be easy especially if they have never had work done and he was a pro. I will continue to use this office and will recommend them to everyone.

::I took my 5 year old daughter to iKids Fort Worth (Beach & Basswood) this morning for a regular cleaning which was scheduled at 9:00 am, we arrived at 8:55 am to sign in and we were called back at 9:28 am and went ahead with the cleaning in which I was told she had a few cavities and was recommended that she be sedated for her treatment after I was treated like a crappy parent for not treating these baby teeth cavities which apparently we were told about previously that they wanted over $2000 to fix BABY TEETH. Keep in mind these teeth will fall out and the only risk is infection which is very minimal and easily treated (~$100 to PULL IT IF ANTIBIOTICS DON'T WORK!). I declined sedation as I know all too much about sedation and neglect as my mother is an attorney and has handled plenty of medical neglect cases and if it's not absolutely necessary or if I cannot be in the back that we cannot ensure absolute safety. The dentist agreed my concern was valid and agreed to do NOS in several sessions if my daughter could do it. The nurse then came back in telling me to sign a sedation form that I had signed over 6 months ago but it just needed to be signed again to "renew" it after showing me paperwork that included sedation in the bill after I had discussed nos with the dentist and we decided it was the best option in my case (with my concerns). I was concerned so I asked why am I signing a form for something I just declined and the lady said "No, you agreed to sedation". I absolutely did not agree to sedation and would never give iKids the authority to care for my children alone due to this NEGLECTFUL incident and I am absolutely glad they showed me their true colors before I agreed to any treatment plan. Keeping in mind that these are her baby teeth and sedation to fill baby teeth and bring risks for an unnecessary operation would absolutely Ludacris when this office is very neglectful of their patients and all it would take is a minor miscommunication during sedation and my daughter is now brain dead or dead from an operation that is not even necessary. The office manager called to apologize for the "miscommunication" about 20 minutes after I walked out because I was fed up with the run-around and the amount of time it took for the run-around which is when I told them to take my daughter off their system she or any of my children will not be returning to their offices because trying to force me into sedation against my will is apparently their goal and who knows what would have happened during the "nos operation" had I agreed. I do not recommend to let this clown circus operate on any child with sedation as they have proven to be very neglectful. I'm also going to the Texas Board of Dentistry to see if this type of "pushing" of sedation is even legal in the State of Texas. I can't see this being legal.
