  I went from when I was 14 to when I was 16. I loved it at first, but later developed crippling depression and health problems that remained untreated. Many of my classmates went on to develop drug or alcohol problems. The place is just too strict and doesn't allow enough parental involvement (read: any). Kids should be with their parents -- I now feel this very strongly.
