  I went today and arrived excited and left SO proud as the granddaughter of one of the men that went on strike! Be patient if you don't find your loved one immediately. Some names are out of alphabetical order! Memphis you did GREAT on this one!!!!!!!!!

  Outdoor plaza memorializing the struggle of striking sanitation workers in Memphis during a tumultuous year in 1968. It is adjacent to Clayborn Temple where strike organizers based their operations and the famous “I AM A MAN” signs were distributed.
