  I went from a 2-star hotel to what I thought was a 4-star hotel on my last stay in the Boston area with the wife. Couldn't have been more wrong in terms of how the rooms compared. I read another review that said the hotel looked dated, and it did. The silicone on my shower head and shower handle were coming off, the carpet was torn entering the bathroom, our mirror was chipped, the room was smaller than the 2-star room, no microwave. It left a lot to be desired given the "4-star" status. The location wasn't horrible as we did use the shuttle service to the drop-off places they had, and the staff was very friendly. It was a quiet hotel, which was perfect given that we were only there for one night prior to heading home.

  The hotel is very pretty with interior courtyard and views of the river across the street. The rooms had a lot of nice features like nightlights that turn on at the floor level when your feet hit the floor, and a retractable clothes line in the shower. But I couldn't get hot water in the shower even though there was hot water in the sink. The markings on the shower faucet were contradictory so I was sure to leave it in multiple positions to be sure I didn't have it the wrong way. And the bed seemed to only have about 4 top sheets and not really a blanket. The restaurant was great food but pricey and very limited options. No room service available. And not many restaurants nearby.

  I stayed here on a business trip. I was here for an early check in and, unfortunately was not able to be accommodated due to full booking the night before. However, the staff was able to accommodate this and store my luggage until a room was available allowing me to go out and enjoy some time visiting Boston. My luggage was delivered directly to my room. The rooms were well maintained and clean. I felt the beds were comfortable. My only complaint is location. While conveniently located near MIT, due to a lack of transit options close to the hotel, it was not the easiest location to move from. Significant walking was required to even reach a transit stop. This long walk was improved by the waterfront views along the journey, however.

  I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency for a work convening. I'd like to highlight two things: 1) My room was great and was really comfortable. 2) Generally hotel catering stinks and it loaded with butter. The catering at the Hyatt Regency team featured some wonderful seasonal dishes that I really enjoyed. Overall it was a great stay.

  Beautiful hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the views of the river from the rooms are immaculate. The restaurants are very good, and the service and staff at the front desk and restaurant are cordial and attentive. My one issue is the location to downtown Boston. There is no hotel shuttle so you have to drive 15 - 20 minutes to get downtown, and parking in Boston is very expensive. As it is at the hotel. $44/ night, just as a heads up.
