  When you have to leave and run home to print IRS information to teach your tax preparer how to claim your casualty loss, there's a serious problem. Not only did she tell me I could only claim $3,000(this was not accurate), but I then had to teach her how and where to enter the information. What the hell did I pay her for????

  Horrible customer service I called 8 times literally 8 times just to have some automated system tell me please wait and hangs up on me me definitely would recommend to anyone do your taxes yourself cause they will not help you if there's an issue

  First and last time trying to use H and R block for my tax returns. Where do I even begin? Received a letter from the IRS and immediately made an appointment 2 weeks in advance at h and r block for help. I Showed up for appointment, door was locked and no one was visible. So I call and after a long options menu I'm transferred to the office and a woman picks up and says she'll let me in. I inform her I have an appointment ( not with her) but no one else is in the office. She was very nice and tried to be helpful but she gave me conflicting advice, didn't know how to use her computer and spent most of her time talking to the computer witth the secretary who finally shows up at 11:30 ( place opens at 9 am). For the 40 min I spent there we spent 10 min talking about my taxes, and it was mostly a jumble of confusing "I don't knows"and "maybe you did something wrongs" (duh! That's why I'm here) and you shouldn't use turbo tax. I finally just got up and left. Overall an entire waste of time... will look for a real tax professional next time.
