  After multiple years of filing at H&R block, in 2016 they insisted I not file a tax return due - resulting in a loss of benefits of $12,000. When I brought the error to their attention, they insisted on charging for issuing a correction. The $12,000 error is irrecoverable. I have no confidence in H&R - poor advice and meaningless guarantee. It is far better to file on my own.
