::H&R Block Heads is more like it at this location. And I have heard similar stories from other people who went to different locations. This 50% OFF DEAL is just a GIMMICK to get you in the door! Don't fall for it. I made a 10am appointment with Sue at the 83rd and Lexington location. I explained my taxes were paid by check last year and I could bring the cxld check and my Last years taxes along with me instead of a receipt. Sue asked me to hold on and checked that this was ok. I was coming from Brooklyn and rushed to walk in the door at 10:02. The receptionist was nice enough as she began to make excuses for Sue who had not yet walked in the door. My first thought was "Wow, it is Tax Season, the time for you to make your money, why aren't you here at 9am getting a jump on the day? How do you even plan to show up at 10am for a 10am appointment? Very unprofessional," but the nice enough receptionist provided interesting chit chat to help pass the time and I figured I would give Miss Sue the benefit of the doubt. My impressions were confirmed when a disheveled Sue walked in the door. After about 20 more minutes of getting acquainted with my forms, I explained how I was here for the 50% off last year's taxes deal. Sue immediately became flustered and told me she had to check that this was ok. Now it was only 2 days before that I spoke with this woman. Who doesn't remember something like that? So she tried to call her manager, wasn't able to get her on the phone, and told me she couldn't honor the deal...... WHAT THE ... I was able to refrain from using profane language, however I politely asked Sue why she lied to me. Her jaw dropped but she did not respond. I told her just how unprofessional she was, called her a lier to her face... still no profanity (I was proud of myself actually). She just sat there. I have never seen anything like it. Like she knew she was a lier. 45 minutes after I walked in, I gave a polite gesture to the receptionist who could only look at me with acknowledgment and shame, and I walked out the door. Unfinished taxes in hand, Promising to blow Miss Sue out the water on Google!
