  Called in an incident of some roughly 12-year olds joyriding and nearly hitting us in a black Kia SUV, license KDH3666. When I called it in, and the kids were swerving down Canal at 75th, the dispatcher was more concerned about the proper spelling of Canal than about dispatching an officer. 2 hours later, tried for over half an hour to contact Houston "Police" to follow-up. Called various different storefront numbers, no answer. Tried another automated help number; no applicable phone option, no interest, no caring on HPD's part. We apparently don't have a police department anymore. We're obviously on our own when help is needed. This is EXACTLY why I carry.

  good luck get any help from here. the officer i need is always "on the streets" and even when i tell the others here to ask him to call me back, he never does.
