::I really, really wanted to like this place because I do my best to support local, small business owners, but the smell and lack of cleanliness of this place totally killed it for me. Actually the smell was so bad that I nearly gagged when I went in and could hardly breath, especially towards the front of the store where the animals are. I can't believe it's legal to keep animals in such conditions... They did have the aquarium supplies I needed here and at good prices, but I wouldn't personally buy anything living from here given the conditions in which they are kept.

::This is not the prettiest store but it has great prices and great selection of fish. John, the owner, really knows fish and aquariums. He takes a little while to warm up, but I rely on him for recommendations on anything aquarium related. Local small business that we should support over the big box stores with lousy selection and high prices.

::Awesome store! The owner is an amazing man with passion and is very helpful. You can bargain with him on the prices. My only complaint is smell. The smell of baby brine shrimp is strong, but after going there a couple of times, I got used to it. The fish are amazing. Even the feeders look healthy!(But I buy them for purposes other than feeding.) The owner breeds most of his fish in the store too. I witnessed the birth of angels when I went there about 2 months ago. They were in a tank for about 2 weeks until the owner moved them to the back. When I went back last time, those angels were for sale.

::Love this classic local fish shop. Reminds me of my childhood. We're used to large fancy pet stores these days and easily forget about shops run by individuals who have made a living for themselves following their passions. This shop has a great selection of shrimp and freshwater fish. I had trouble finding what I was looking for around town and stopped in to see what they had. To my surprise, they had an abundance of what I wanted: a variety of freshwater shrimp. Beyond the facade of this small shop which may appear to be run down at a glance or have the scent of classic pet shop, the owner was very helpful in my selection, answering my questions, and even taking an interest in looking to see if he could order a particular fish I was looking for. This place is worth a visit. Say hi to the guy working there, and support our local shops.

::The fish here are incredibly healthy looking. There are a lot of cute cats. While I was choosing my guppies one of them sat next to me and rubbed his cheek on my knee over and over. Very nice guppies for sale here - it looks like they are bred in the building. The prices are also amazing. It's definitely an older style of aquarium store. The older man operating the shop was very kind even though I walked in thirty minutes before close. All of my guppies are doing well, no losses so far.
