Hotel has been upgraded, building is old. Management tried to put us in a room that was a down grade. After refusing the room, they provided an acceptable room. Sliding glass door to balcony very old and locked us on the balcony. Had to call and have maintenance open door. No smoking permitted anywhere on premises. $250 charge if you smoke (even on balcony). Not impressed for the money. Courtyard is nice and modern.

I had a wonderful stay a few weeks back. The staff was courteous and friendly. The vibe of the hotel is really cool with a slightly industrial and nautical feel. The decor is great without going overboard. The location is great, and walking distance from several attractions including Pier 39 and Ghirardelli square. While a bit small, the rooms are very cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. Without question, I will absolutely stay here again on my next trip to San Francisco.

What a fun hotel! So ready please and so close to the wharf. It’s a high classed hotel in a great location at a great price. I found the best discount by going through the website of the hotel itself. I felt it was slightly under staffed but it didn’t change the character of the staff it had, just that if there was more staff we would of been helped sooner. The valet was great and would keep your vehicle many hours past checkout to give you a good amount of time to enjoy the city.

Great hotel design, located in a good spot downtown to explore activities. In walking distance to a lot of food. One of the best parts is the amount of indoor/outdoor games the hotel has. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is because of how easy it was to hear people in the hallways.

This place is a pretty cool hotel. The rooms are on the small side like many of the hotels in this area but it's got some great style and cool amenities. The location is great as there is lots to do within walking distance including restaurants, bike rentals, shops, etc. If you don't want a touristy area, don't come here. It's in the heart of the tourism, but for a first-timer in San Fran it's a great option at a great price.
