  On the plus, the room is fairly spacious, has a big window, and the bedding is good. There's a coffee machine in the room, although not enough coffee capsules for the two of us. On the minus, the room/decor has a certain cheap feeling, which is hard to describe. Like all the items are knockoff brands? It's hard to figure out what makes it feel this way. It tries to urban hip but just... falls short. The worst, though, is the bouncers downstairs, who can be fairly rude, making you feel like you're being interrogated by an angry TSA agent trying to take it out on you, rather than trying to make it back to your room after a night out. I'm not staying here to be treated like scum by these little rascals. I appreciate that they have a difficult job to keep the hotel secure, but some basic manners would go a long way.

  Love the hotel and the surrounding area! We're from the UK and it's giving us a great taste of real NYC within easy distance of the tourist parts. Hotel staff are all superb and room very spacious and comfortable. Love the scenery from Mr Purple. Unfortunately the attitude of the staff drove us to drink in the other more friendly bars in the vicinity.

  Amazing view, and centrally located to so many places we wanted to see. The bed was heavenly, as was the rain shower. We loved relaxing after long days exploring the city and long nights enjoying the scene.

  Love this hotel, close to lots of restaurants, bars... very much a fun area. The hotel is really hip design and modern. Clean and the staff is very friendly. In the evening the hotel becomes very busy. A lot of locals are going for drinks in the hotel lobby and pool area. (Rooftop pool) never used the pool because it’s very busy with people on the roof top. I love the rooms, bathroom. Very unique hotel. Make sure you walk at the back of the hotel to see the Art Deco art. Highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there again for sure. If you can book a room with the terrace

  Great hotel, friendly staff, very comfortable and large king size bed. Large room for NYC. Contemporary feel, well decorated. Good location. But - very, very noisy. Cars beeping all night (maybe a break between 5.30am and 6.30am). Other guests were all unusually rowdy and noisy. Ideal for staying right where the good nightlife is, but do not expect a good night's sleep!
