::Cool old building and staff that greeted us. The only issue we saw was lack of communication with their pricing and arrival time. We'll definitely try them again when I'm town.

::Great hostel! They have lockers to store your stuff, but everyone was very friendly. Lots of parking and easy access to some nice shops

::My first night, i had an emergancy situation: I got stranded and someone else paid for my room over the phone (and it was almost 11, when they close), but they said I could only stay one night because they didn't want to set an example of this kind of thing being acceptable. Once inside, it was a warm welcome from the cold outside, and I enjoyed how cozy it was. My second night, I came back without telling them it was me and paid with my own card. After I introduced myself to someone else, a different staff member questioned me on the current situation, and I told the truth. I'm probably banned from the hostel for coming back when I wasn't supposed to but it was better than being outside in the cold. And, I'm glad they didn't kick me out. If you do things the normal way, the RA gives you a nice tour and is very informative. They offer a full set of sheets, extra blankets, hand soup, and towels. You have to clean up after yourself in all area. The coed and gender rooms are standard - bunk bed rooms with a good amount of space. They have shared showers and private showers. They have nice relaxing areas, but it seemed like was missing. It needs more travels aesthetic, like pain the walls with different city scenery or maps or something. It's in a decent location, in the city's gayberhood next to a lot of places to eat and drink, but the nearest grocery store in a half hour walk and the nearest library is almost an hour walk. Memphis has sub-par availability public transit, so I suggest having a different way to get around.

::Somewhat friendly staff. The hostel is in a building that houses other facilities (like a church) so it's not always quiet. You have to do a chore a day. Beds in the female dorm are decent (a couple were broken or the mattresses were lumpy). Towels and blankets are provided. Private bathrooms available. Right down the street from hipster-y type restaurants/bars. On the bus line. Overall not great, but you get what you pay for! Not bad for a single person that just needs a bed for a few nights.

::This hostel is a good value. It's not the nicest hostel I've stayed in but it's also one of the best rates I've seen. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The building is an older building and is part of a church. They ask you to help out with a chore and charge extra if you check in late (after 11 p.m.). However, it was clean and located in a short driving distance to everything I wanted to do and see. They also have free parking.
