::Well-stocked remainder book shop just a few steps from the West Side Market. Books are priced at cover price, with huge % discounts for buying multiple books. Head in and scour the shelves for hidden gems, you'll never know what will be in stock on the day of your visit. This is not a "new release" book shop; This is a shop that focuses on end-of-run books that are sold in bulk to dealers after big-box bookstores return unsold copies to the publisher. I found several niche (semi-celebrity chef) cookbooks that had small press runs, and bought enough books that I got everything at 70% off! Know what you are walking into and you'll have an amazing time!

::Can't beat the price. I usually make a trip here for holidays and birthdays because I can buy tons of gifts and spend very little. Selection can seem a little thin at times but the staff is very helpful and has even suggested similar works to me in the past!

::An amazing book shop with extraordinary prices. This is more of a browsing bookstore, and not a place to go if you are looking for a particular book. And there are no oversized arm chairs to sit in and read. Books are displayed on homemade horizontal shelves (hence, the name of the store). But they have an incredible selection of just about everything, including best-sellers, and I easily find dozens of books I'd like to get on every visit. They have a great teen and kid's section as well. All books are brand new. Buy 3 or more books and get 70% off the cover price. Depending on the mix (paperback vs hardcover, kids book vs larger novel), we typically spend between $5 and $8 per book.
