  It was a fun way to spend an evening. On a clear day the views all around are pretty spectacular. It's well worth a visit for anyone, tourist or local. You can bring food, and 3 hours can pass by quite quickly.

  Try to get there on the first boat, so you have plenty of time. It's a bit windy, so bring a sweatshirt. Definitely BRING SNACKS. Treat it like a picnic from a food perspective and then buy your drinks there.

  Really unbelievable views - what a cool experience. Bring your own cheese and crackers. Reasonably priced bar for cocktails and other drinks. Difficult to get back if you stay past the last direct ferry (ferry to New Jersey, 10 min long walk, then Path train back to manhattan). Would go back again despite the travel and overall one of the better nights out in the city.
