  Response to management/owner’s response: Yeah so when me and my dad are walking around looking for his truck the next morning we look up on the building walls and no cameras. Gee ....is Hilton that cheap to invest in some basic security equipment to help San Antonio PD find these thugs? Especially with the apartments next door that has graffiti. The police officer we met with told us they get a lot calls in that area. And she even knew there were no cameras. Hilton is really looking out for their customers safety. Please spare me the ignorance. I just got to a Comfort Inn here in SA and guess what, perimeter cameras on the building with monitors at the front desk. If the Hilton would of compensated my parents for loss of personal belongings or a portion thereof, I wouldn’t be here writing this review because that would truly indicate they do care. But I suppose you took the gamble that we would just go silent and be on our merry way. Well that reflects on the intelligence of management and Hilton. That is the beauty of business reviews. To have an impact and look elsewhere because there are many hotels to choose from. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————- People don't believe the high reviews. My parents stayed here several months ago and their vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. It was recovered later but stripped. I am going down there for the basketball quarterfinals and will not be staying here. Alot of people will be coming into San Antonio to watch the games this weekend and want to warn everyone. Criminals will be taking advantage of higher than normal visitors. Graffiti is visible on the property next door. STAY AWAY!!

  We liked the room but we didn't like the lack of TV stations. I know that might sounds crazy to some but we have kids and having kids TV stations is important. They only had one and the rest of them didn't work even tho they had them on the paper. But other than that the stay was great.

  This is our go-to hotel in San Antonio, since the early 2000s when we first stayed. Our most recent visit was a couple weeks ago. While some hotels go downhill after 15 years, this one has not. Enjoyed a light meal before heading downtown in the evening, as well as breakfast in the morning. If you're looking for more variety, there are plenty of great places just a short drive from the hotel. It's also not a bad drive from UTSA, Six Flags, and some good shopping centers. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we were just passing through this time around. The only two things I would comment on are not criticisms of the hotel, but just some FYIs...if you're not familiar with the area, the turn into the hotel can be easy to miss. I missed the turn into Spectrum One the first time around. Also, the ceiling in the kitchen/dining area is a bit on the short side, which wouldn't be an issue unless you're particularly tall. At 5'5" I was able to touch the ceiling without tiptoeing.

  BEWARE: Our vehicle was stolen from the parking lot on December 17, 2017. I would advise anyone not to stay here as there is inadequate security. No cameras are on the building and no security personnel on duty. San Antonio police department advised this is a high crime area and was aware that the hotel does not have cameras. Security cameras would have aided the police department with footage of suspects and their vehicles. Hilton Corporate Office would not assist with this matter. Goodbye Hilton. Hello Marriott.

  Stayed an overnight at this location using a reward stay. Hotel is older and there were no problems to speak about. Check in was very nice. We were on the fourth floor and the floor plan with the full kitchen etc was welcomed. But being an older hotel the bed and furniture was not so comfortable. The breakfast and staff were all very nice and the staff were all excellent. They provided us instructions to the local HEB, they also have DVDs for watching in your room. In all my travels this is an average hotel. Location is very good with much to do and eating establishments are close. I would still recommend. Thanks for reading. Video on the YouTube Channel.
