  This restaurant has the best light touch on seasoning of any Chinese restaurant in US I have encountered. The delicate flavors of food is not overpowered by heavy seasoning. I generally come here for my hometown taste. The chef has the most authentic Chinese flavors in Orange County. I love their Shanghainess rice cake, lion's head meat balls, and their various soups. Their fish dishes are also out of this world. Their vegetarian duck is the only traditionally handmade dish that I have seen in Chinese restaurants in the last 10 years in Los Angeles area. The others generally sell a kind of factory made vegetarian duck which I would not touch. The services are quick and friendly. It feels like home!

  My doctor recommended Home Town to me and it's a fantastic find. Wide variety of delicious Zhejing and Taiwanese dishes. They catered 9 dishes for a reception of 170 people and they cooked enough for 200! Stephanie recommended dishes that would serve well buffet style and it was a hit. Favorites were Beef with Pumpkin, Spicy Kung Pao Chicken, Combination Fried Rice with Shrimp, Fish with Black Bean, and Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs. Reasonable prices and authentic. What a winner.

  Hidden gem!! Shanghainese food. Try the dumplings and fish. The delicious tilapia with garlic is the best thing you can buy for $13
