::Kinda cramped and they are in the middle of renovating. The restaurant is lackluster and the breakfast is nothing to get excited about, but the beds are alright.

::We spent three days at the Holiday inn Metairie. During our stay we were treated exceptionally well, we received a military discount which included excellent breakfast both buffet and off the menu. Also the room was spotless and every night a housekeeper stopped by to make sure we had everything. They were great and we appreciate them and Holiday inn.

::Perfect location just out of New Orleans (7 min drive to Canal St) and just off I-10. Spacious room, clean and good value for the money. Only downside was minimal decent restaurants within walking distance but would stay again if in same area.

::The people at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. We had a few issues with the room but they were fixed promptly. However, the breakfast needs improvement. Although we were given coupons due to our issues and didn’t have to pay for breakfast it wasn’t worth $12.95. The items are minimal, the staff didn’t do good at keeping food restocked and they appeared to be understaffed because the wait on the food we ordered took forever. The food that my mom ordered looked and tasted good though! I would pass the buffet and order from the menu. Once again, the people were great!

::I gave it two stars because it wasn't all bad. To be honest, it's a hotel that I got a good rate on, so I couldn't give super it really bad ratings. It looks to be an older hotel that has been updated. We stayed in a suite for three days. The bathroom was really small even for a standard size room. Our room had white powder stuff (not sure what it was) around the whole room in the corner where the carpet meets the wall. Our room was right across from the fitness room and when the weights were being used it made a load banging in our room. We didn't seem to get a warm reception at the front desk and seemed to be bother for them, even with simple questions. The breakfast buffet was average, not bad, but it was way over priced for what it is. The breakfast was similar to what you could get free at other hotels. The bartender was very nice. If you want to sleep in make sure you put the "do not disturb" sign out. The maid service was knocking on our door at 8am. On our last day we were going to catch the shuttle to the airport and where told that it leaves on the hour. We were in the lobby at 8:40am and waited for the shuttle that we were told would be there at 9am. Leaving at 9 would have given us a little time to relax and not rush through the airport. At 9:15am we were told that the shuttle was in traffic. We couldn't see traffic on the highway from the front door and Google maps didn't show traffic from the hotel to the airport. By 9:30am no shuttle had showed up and the front desk told us again that traffic was causing the slow return. We were concerned that we might be late for our flight, so we ubered to the airport. I usually don't write bad reviews and understand that things happen, but the late shuttle was my last straw. Not a bottom of the barrel hotel, but it has a few facets that are lacking. Take it for what it is.
