::The front desk people we're extremely courteous when checking in my onto we were dropping off to the hotel. I was very impressed with the free massages from 5 to 7 p.m., as well as the shuttle service available to all Hotel guests. The breakfast area was very clean and constantly replenished when we arrived, and they had a variety of options for all types of allergies.

::Great staff but substandard hotel Hotel with awesome top rate staff but really sketchy location. The building interior is dated and worn, the elevator is downright scary and left me wondering each time I took it if I would make it to my chosen floor, maintenance and upkeep is desperately needed. Even on a superficial level the staff didn’t even recognize I was Spire Elite until I proved it by showing my card at check in because the hotels “system” didn’t show my status. So had I not said something I would have not gotten my welcome amenity points. The staff was absolutely superb but just about everything else about this hotel should get a failing grade. Also, I had a very hard time finding a restaurant that delivered to this hotel (for you fellow business travelers). Last, I tried posting this review on the IHG page for this hotel but the rejected it. They must only want good reviews posted.

::Not really caring for the area and or location. The room was great ! And the staff was excellent ! I was well taking care of and warmly greeted. The room was very clean, they offered free massages ,morning and daily newspapers. And the General manager Ms.Shakes was professuonal and friendly. Not caring for the area i would still stay here in the Future. LaVonce M Long

::Family and Single Traveler Friendly Hotel. About a mile from LA LIVE, but at a fraction of the cost of the upscale hotels in the immediate vicinity of that venue, this hotel offers an impressive breakfast spread and has some of the friendliest staff I've ever experienced. They also have a free hotel shuttle service that runs several times a day during peak periods, picking you up or taking you to any location within a 4 mile circumference. The rooms are nice, comfortable, clean. There is a respectably sized workout room with free weights and 3-4 major pieces of equipment and the hotel also has a postage -stamp sized outdoor pool, with fence for privacy. While the area isn't good - at this time - for roaming about after dark, there are several restaurants that deliver (I can vouch for the Italian eatery) or the shuttle can take you out.

::Would give them a five star plus. The area is shady but the hotel is exceptionally clean considering the building is aging. The rooms are updated, a comfortable size and very clean. They include a brunch served by a young lady named Berlin. The selection changes each morning and is well prepared and tasty. They offer a complimentary massage and complimentary transportation, our driver was Jessie and he was very accommodating, to local sites within a four mile radius. If the distance is further the subway for seniors is only 35 cents and it is only a block away. They offer ice cream, popcorn, cookies and lemonade for later in the day. The real asset is Aida and the others on the front desk. They are pleasant and accommodating making your stay there enjoyable. When we had to leave on Christmas Eve, they got us a limo to the airport for the cost of a cab. It is the staff of this Holiday Inn that make staying there a pleasure.
