  Yesterday I walked out of this Dr Hoffman's office after multiple issues with her practice. Yesterdays insult was the final straw. My 14 year old daughter was seeing Dr Hoffman for acne on her face and during the course of treatment, she started getting a rash on her neck. We went back to see Dr Hoffman for this rash exactly 13 days ago and she was prescribed another medicine to treat the rash. We were charged for a standard visit and we paid our copay at this time. After 12 days using the rash medicine she proscribed, the rash on my daughters neck was getting worse and was itching a lot, so called the office and they were kind enough to get her in the same day. The office proceeded to try and charge us again for the visit and when i questioned the fee and asked to speak to Dr Hoffman about this, i was told that she wasn't in and we were seeing her Physicians assistant. I asked the receptions to please call Dr Hoffman and allow me to speak to her, to which the receptionist disappeared for 5 minutes returning with the message that Dr Hoffman said everyone pays, every time, no matter what the circumstances are. Like any hard working person who feels wrongly charged, I questioned this with dislike and asked if i could be billed as i didn't bring any money with me expecting a comp visit because we returned for the same issue that had not been resolved with her previous diagnosis. At this point I was told that my 14 year old child would not be seen today without the copay of $30. So I say Shame on this office for being like this. What has happened to our medical practices. I feel its truly shameful how this Dr took this stance for a $30 copay. Besides the fact that the visit should have been no charge due to the visit was for the same issue from two weeks prior. Additionally, we had another occurrence with this office where we called multiple times to inquire about sending a prescription to a different pharmacy and the office did not return calls after i left multiple messages at the office. Then when i finally spoke to the office manager, she tells me there were no notes in the file from the visit in question and she didn't know what the prescription was for. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE AND DR HOFFMAN, that's all i can say.

  Dr. Hoffman offers a rare combination: her medical expertise is superb! I had relocated with a rash on my leg and she was able to treat it successfully after a year of unresolved issues with my old doctor who wanted a biopsy. Dr. Hoffman held off and did something else first ... and was right! Her concern for the human side is also there - how many doctors call to tell you they will be away and that's why you won't hear back from them immediately? Never! She did. And my appointments are taken on time. The trifecta!

  Many years ago a spot on my face was a concern to a friend, so I went in search of a dermatologist and was fortunate enough to find Dr. Hoffman A little more than a year ago I developed a strange wound on my leg which has presented a challenge to my primary care physicians both in Florida and in New York, as well as a challenge to two different wound care centers, a rheumatologist, an oncologist, a vascular surgeon, a nephrologist and a podiatrist. The pain levels that accompanied the wound have been as high as a ten on a scale of 1 to 10 Dr. Hoffman has examined my leg, and she and Dr. Wolffe, her chief resident have been able to give me a diagnosis, and create a treatment plan The treatment plan included wound injections and is quite uncomfortable. However the wound is progressing and showing signs of improvement, and the pain has been greatly reduced. Everyone in Dr. Hoffman's practice has treated me with the greatest respect and care no matter which office I go to, and I have had the opportunity to visit all three of the office locations They have also decided to integrate OMT Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment into my treatment plan to help encourage healing Both Doctor Hoffman and Dr. Wolffe demonstrate a great deal of concern for my medical conditions and all the complications that can develop when someone isbeing treated for leukemia, and I feel as if I have been blessed with doctors who truly care about my well being, and are working with me toward my continued improved health. Dr. Hoffman and her staff are truly wonderful. I highly recommend this group should you find yourself in need of dermatologic care.
