::This chicken joint off of Gravois deep in South Saint Louis has been around for a very long time. Insist that your chicken is hot when it is really busy and you will not be let down. The prices are unbelievably inexpensive. Draft beer is $2 a pint and a whole order of wings is $9.50. For $20 a person, you will leave full and with a buzz.

::Their famous St. Louis chicken is the best. I don't like their frozen burgers. Sorry. It's a chicken restaurant. That's why you go there. Don't settle for any but the chicken? Their mushrooms are good and you'll get plenty of very hot fries too. Slaw is good.

::Long regarded as one of St. Louis' best friend chicken restaurants, Hodak's will definitely earn your top billing if you love chicken. Top flavor, moist, great breading. So strong is its reputation, you rarely hear about the other dishes available! It's a comfortably, casual, homey environment, good service, reasonable prices. Parking can be tough during peak times.

::Love this place! Great atmosphere, awesome staff, and the food is fantastic! Known for their yummy chicken. Easy access from Downtown, Highway 55 and Highway 44. Large parking area. A must dine experience, don't miss it.

::Hodak's is probably my favorite place for fried chicken in the St. Louis area and this visit did not disappoint. Hubby and I had our usual, 1/2 a fried chicken, french fries and slaw. The chicken was crunchy outside and moist, steaming inside. Crinkle fries are normally not a big deal to me but these were cooked perfectly: crispy exterior with a hot, fluffy center. The oil and vinegar dressed slaw is also a favorite of mine. It was very fresh with the right proportion of oil and vinegar and a touch of sweetness. As always, we had enough leftovers for another meal (or two). We went between typical lunch and dinner hours during the week and there were quite a few customers but no wait. You can expect long lines on the weekends and when games or events are going on.
