  My husband and I always bring our cars to Hoben's. The proprietor, George Hoben, was highly recommended to me by a neighbor when I first moved back to Newburgh 11 years ago, and I was never sorry I took his advice! George and his son know what they're doing and never try to sell you services you don't need. Last week I stopped at an out-of-town Honda dealer because my key had suddenly stopped operating my driver's-side door. The dealer said i needed a new tumbler and would need to make an appointment, 3 days in advance, for the "$147" job. Luckily on my way home I stopped at Hoben's and asked George to take a look at the same lock. He sprayed it with WD-40 and 5 seconds later it worked fine. When I asked what I owed him he just laughed and said, "No charge!" For a great mechanic right in the City of Newburgh, look no farther than Hoben's.
